Mass Delete Replies on Twitter/X
Replies are the most off-the-cuff thing you post: fired off mid-argument, buried three levels deep under someone else's tweet, quietly piling up in a Replies tab you haven't opened in years. Redact rounds them all up at once, the old arguments, the overshares, the takes that have since cooled, while your actual tweets stay exactly where they are. Filter by date, keyword, or engagement, preview the batch, then run it.
Free for your last 30 days of tweets, replies & likes.

Replies are the forgotten half of your profile
Your Replies tab is public, in order, and unfiltered: every reply you've ever left, sitting next to whatever you were arguing about that day. It's usually more revealing than your main timeline, and a reply outlives its conversation, hanging there context-free long after the tweet it answered is gone.
Old arguments with no context
A reply pulled from a years-old back-and-forth reads very differently on its own. Clearing them removes the half of the exchange that's still tied to your name.
Personal info you typed into a thread
Replies are where people drop an email, a location, or a phone number to sort something out in the moment. Those details stay public and searchable until you remove them.
Takes you've moved past
Opinions you fired off about a company, a person, or a moment can resurface and misrepresent who you are today. Bulk deletion clears them in one pass instead of one at a time.
Your reply goes. The conversation stays.
Deleting a reply is surgical. Redact lifts out only your message, from the thread and from your profile, and never touches the tweet you were answering or anyone else's replies.
- The original tweet stays put. Only your own message leaves the thread.
- No one is notified. Twitter/X doesn't alert anyone when a reply is removed.
- Your Replies tab clears. The reply drops off your profile and the reply count ticks down by one.
- Original tweet untouched
- No notification sent
- Replies tab cleared

Delete all of your replies, or just some
Leave every filter blank and Redact queues every reply you've ever posted. Or stack the same filters that work on tweets to carve out an exact slice. The cleanups people reach for most:
Clear the old years
Remove everything older than a date you choose, and keep this year's replies intact.
Target a topic or person
Wipe every reply about one subject, or every reply you directed at one account.
Cut the ones that flopped
Drop replies that never landed: filter by engagement to clear the zero-like ones.
Replies only, tweets untouched
Scrub the Replies tab while your standalone tweets, retweets, and quote tweets stay put.
Your replies never leave your device
Redact talks straight to Twitter/X from your computer or phone, so your replies and your login never pass through a Redact server. It takes only the access it needs to do the deleting, and you can disconnect Twitter/X the moment you're done.

Frequently asked questions
No. Redact removes only your message. The tweet you replied to and everyone else's replies stay exactly where they are, and the thread's reply count just ticks down by one.
No notification goes out. The reply quietly leaves the thread and your Replies tab, with nothing sent to the original poster or anyone else in the conversation.
Yes. Replies are a separate content type, so you can target them and leave your standalone tweets, retweets, and quote tweets alone. Select replies, leave the rest unchecked, and only replies get queued.
Add the @handle or a keyword as a filter and Redact only queues replies that match it. Stack a date range on top if you want just the older ones.
No. A quote tweet is its own post that embeds another, while a reply lives underneath someone else's tweet. They're handled separately, so use the posts or content-type filters for quote tweets.
Twitter/X throttles live deletion of huge histories. For a big backlog, request your archive and import the .zip into the desktop app to run far faster, or let a schedule chip away over several passes. Archive import is a Premium feature; clearing recent replies is free.
