YouTube logs quite a bit of info about you and your viewing habits. Everything from your comments to your watch history is recorded. What's worse? Much of this content can be viewed by the public. A comment you made 10 years ago is still sitting there with your name attached for the world to see. With Redact, you're able to mass delete your YouTube comments, watch and search history, playlists, watch later, and liked videos, unsubscribe from channels in bulk, and even remove your own video uploads.

Delete Your YouTube Playlists
Redact deletes the playlists you created and removes playlists you saved from someone else from your library. Pick a single playlist or every one at once, and Redact works out which of the two applies to each.
A playlist carries no date of its own, so it goes as a whole. A date range narrows the videos Redact clears elsewhere, not which playlists it removes.

Clear Out Your Watch Later Queue
Redact empties your Watch Later queue in bulk, removing the saved videos from it while the queue itself stays in place. Filter by the words in a video's title to pull out just the ones you mean, or set a date range to narrow the run.
Years of half-watched saves pile up fast. Clear them in one pass instead of opening the queue and removing videos by hand.
One thing to know about dates here: a saved video carries the video's own upload date, not the day you added it, so both a date range and the free 30-day window match on how old the video is. Reaching past that window needs Premium.

Your liked videos are a running record of everything you've ever tapped like on, and on many accounts it's public. Redact un-likes them in bulk so you can clear the whole list in a single run, or narrow it with a date range.
As with Watch Later, a liked video carries the video's own upload date rather than the day you liked it. Un-liking videos published in the last 30 days is free, and reaching further back needs Premium.

Delete Your Uploaded Videos
Redact permanently deletes videos you've uploaded to YouTube, in bulk, filtered by date or by the words in a video title. This is off by default and is irreversible, so a deleted upload cannot be recovered, only start it once you're sure.
Picking uploads to delete needs Premium, however recently you posted them.

Delete YouTube Content by Date Range
Every dated content type can be scoped to a date range, from comments and history to Watch Later, likes, and uploads. Set a start date to clear everything after it, an end date to clear everything before it, or both to target a single window, for example everything from 2018. Leave the dates blank to wipe your whole history.
What the date means depends on the type. Comments, history and your own uploads date from when you posted them. Saved and liked videos date from when the video was published, not from the day you saved or liked it. Playlists and subscriptions carry no timestamp of their own. A date range is simply ignored for playlists, but on subscriptions it excludes every channel, so leave it blank on a subscriptions run.

Filter by Title or Comment Text
Narrow a deletion by keyword wherever the content carries text to match. Match on the words in a video's title to target Watch Later saves, liked videos, watch history entries, your own uploads, or the video a comment sits under, or on the text of a comment itself, so Redact only removes the items that mention what you specify and leaves the rest in place. Playlists are picked by name, and a search is a phrase with no video behind it, so neither is narrowed by keyword.

Run a Preview to see exactly what would be removed before anything is touched, use Select and Delete to review and remove items one at a time, or run a full deletion once you trust your filters. Turn on scheduling so new comments, history, and saves are cleared automatically going forward.

1. Download Redact and connect YouTube
Install Redact for free on Windows, macOS, or Linux, then choose YouTube and sign in with your Google account. Your login is sent straight to Google and never touches a Redact server.

2. Choose what to clean up
Pick the content types to include, whether that's playlists, Watch Later, liked videos, comments, watch and search history, subscriptions, or uploads. For the dated types, narrow the batch by date range or by keyword, or leave the filters blank for a full wipe.
