Delete Reddit Posts by Type, Flair, and NSFW Tag
Reddit sticks a label on nearly everything you submit. Link or text. Flaired or not. Marked NSFW or safe for the office. Redact reads those labels and deletes by them, which turns categories you forgot existed into the fastest way to clean a profile. Pick a post type, match a flair, or narrow the run to your over-18 posts, then preview before anything is removed.

Categories clear faster than memories
Cleaning a profile by hand means reading it, and reading ten years of your own posts is the part everyone gives up on. Labels skip the reading entirely: you already know the whole category has to go, so you target the label instead of the memory.
You already know the category has to go
Whether it's every link you ever dumped or everything wearing the over-18 tag, a label lets you queue the whole group in one pass instead of hunting posts down one at a time.
Old link posts pile up quietly
A decade of shared links, dead URLs, and karma-farm submissions sits on your profile long after it stopped meaning anything. Clearing link posts as a type leaves your written posts standing.
NSFW posts are the ones you least want tied to your name
Over-18 submissions are the first thing an employer or a curious stranger goes looking for. The NSFW-only switch clears exactly those and never touches the rest of your history.
Everything Reddit knows about a post is a filter
Reddit tags each post with a type, an optional flair, and an over-18 marker. Redact reads those same tags and deletes by them, so a category you forgot existed becomes a single checkbox.
- Link vs text. Choose link posts, self posts, or both. A decade of dead links can go while your written posts stand.
- Flair keywords. Match posts whose flair contains a word or phrase to catch a whole category at once.
- The NSFW tag. One switch narrows the run to over-18 posts only, and the rest of the profile never enters the picture.
The labels stack with the rest of the toolbox too. Add a subreddit, a date window, or a keyword and the category is carved down to a precise slice first.

- Text posts

- NSFW-only

Delete a whole label group, or a precise slice of one
Each label works on its own or stacked with the others and with the rest of Reddit's filters. The cleanups people reach for most:
Link posts or text posts
Two checkboxes, ticked independently. Clear every link submission and keep your self-posts, or the other way around.
Match a flair keyword
Give it flair words and Redact targets posts whose flair contains them, so a category like "Vent" or "Shitpost" clears in one pass.
NSFW-only switch
Flip one toggle to limit the entire run to posts carrying the over-18 tag. Everything unmarked stays exactly where it is.
Stack with subreddit, date, or keyword
Combine the labels with the other post filters. "NSFW posts in one subreddit before 2020" is a single, legitimate run.
Decide how hands-on you want to be
Preview Mode
The matched label group, listed in full and left untouched, so you can check the queue first.
Deletion Mode
The whole label group removed in a single pass, once you trust the filters.
Review & Delete
Case-by-case sign-off: work through the matches and remove them one click at a time.
Schedule Deletion
The same label rules enforced on a timer so new posts never pile back up. Scheduling is a Premium feature.
Label-based cleanup, start to finish
Setting up a run by post label takes a couple of minutes. Pick the labels, layer any other filters on top, and preview before you delete.

Frequently asked questions
A link post points somewhere else on the internet, and a text (self) post is your own writing submitted to the subreddit. Redact treats them as two separate checkboxes, so you can clear every link post and keep your self-posts, or the reverse. Tick both to ignore the distinction.
You give the flair field one or more words, and Redact queues any post whose flair contains them. It's a substring match on the flair text, so flaired categories like "Vent" or "Meme" make surprisingly clean targets. Posts with no flair, or a flair that doesn't contain your words, are left alone.
No. With the switch on, the run is limited strictly to posts carrying Reddit's over-18 marker. Every unmarked post falls outside the batch, so you can clear your NSFW history in one pass without preview-checking the rest of your profile.
No. Post type, flair, and the NSFW toggle are all available on every plan, with no premium-only label filter among them, so you can scope a run by label for free. The only paid parts are the ones common to any Reddit run: permanently deleting rather than anonymizing with Edit, or putting the cleanup on a schedule.
