Mass Delete Reddit Posts and Comments by Karma Score
Reddit keeps a public score on everything you post, and anyone browsing your profile can sort it to surface your worst-performing content first. Redact turns that scoreboard into a cleanup tool. Set a karma ceiling and everything at or below it goes: the downvoted takes, the posts nobody voted on, the comments the crowd rejected. Your higher-scoring content stays exactly where it is. The karma filter is free on every plan and reaches your whole history; free accounts anonymize the matches with the Edit action, while permanently deleting them needs a paid plan.

Your karma is public, and it is sortable
Karma is Reddit's running opinion of each thing you post, permanently attached to your username and sortable by anyone curious enough to open your history. The low end of that scoreboard is the part worth clearing.
Controversial sorts straight to the top
Your most downvoted comments are one dropdown away for anyone who looks. That sort order exists specifically to surface your worst day first.
Negative karma reads as a red flag
Moderators and lurkers alike treat low scores as a warning label. A history dotted with rejected takes changes how everything else you say lands.
The ignored stuff is dead weight
Posts that never earned a single vote are not neutral, they are clutter. Clearing them leaves a profile that looks intentional instead of abandoned.
At or below your number? It's gone.
Set a karma ceiling and everything at or below it goes. Set it to zero and only content sitting at zero or negative karma qualifies, the classic purge of everything the crowd voted down. Set it to five and the barely-noticed goes too.
- The ceiling only reaches down. The filter clears content at or below the score you set, so your high-scoring history stays out of range.
- Posts and comments are set separately. Each carries its own ceiling, so you can be ruthless with comments and gentle with posts, or the other way around.
- It stacks with the rest. Combine a karma ceiling with a date range, a subreddit list, or keywords for finer aim.

Aim the ceiling at exactly the content you want gone
The karma ceiling works on its own, or stacked with the other Reddit filters to carve out a precise slice. The cleanups people reach for most:
Clear only the downvoted
Set the ceiling to zero and Redact queues only content at zero or negative karma, leaving everything that earned a positive score.
Prune within one subreddit
Add a subreddit to the delete list, then set a karma ceiling, and only the low-scoring content in that community is caught.
Protect your best communities
Add subreddits to the preserve list so a karma sweep skips them entirely, even when their content sits below your threshold.
Cut low-karma content from one era
Stack a date range on the ceiling to clear, say, last year's downvoted comments while this year's stay put.
Preview before anything is removed
Karma sweeps run in the same modes as every other Reddit cleanup, so you can see the catch before you commit.
Preview Mode
A preview pass that lists everything the ceiling caught without deleting a thing, so you can confirm the number is not too greedy.
Deletion Mode
Runs the sweep straight through and removes every post or comment at or below your threshold in one pass.
Review & Delete
Loads the matches and lets you tick through them one by one, unchecking anything you would rather keep before you run it.
Schedule Deletion
Keeps the ceiling running on a rolling basis so newly downvoted content is cleared automatically. Scheduling is a Premium feature.
Prune the scoreboard in four steps
- 1
Download Redact for free
Download for your device →Install Redact on your device. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, plus iOS and Android.
- 2
Connect your Reddit account
Open Redact, choose Reddit, and link your account securely. Your credentials are sent straight to Reddit and never touch a Redact server.
- 3
Set the karma ceiling
Open the Advanced form, pick the Posts or Comments tab, and scroll to the Engagement Filter. Enter the maximum karma to target: zero catches everything the crowd buried. Posts and comments each get their own number, so set them separately.
Filtering by karma is free on every plan, across your whole history. Free accounts anonymize the matches with the Edit action; permanently deleting them needs a Premium plan.
- 4
Preview, then prune
Run a Preview first to see exactly what the ceiling caught. Adjust the number if it is too greedy, then run the deletion. Set a schedule here too if you want the pruning to stay continuous.
Your karma is crunched on your own machine
Karma sorting, scanning, and deleting all run on the device you own. Redact keeps no server-side view of your scores, your worst comments, or anything else it touches, and it takes only the access it needs to do the deleting. Disconnect Reddit the moment you are done.

Frequently asked questions
Everything at or below the number you enter, inclusive. A ceiling of 10 clears every post or comment scoring 10 karma or less and leaves anything above it. Enter 0 to catch only the zero-and-negative pile, or a higher number to sweep up the barely-noticed too. The filter never counts upward, so your best-scoring content is out of range no matter what you type.
No, they are independent. Each content type gets its own maximum on its own tab, so you can prune your comments aggressively and leave your posts alone entirely, or the reverse.
The karma filter works as a ceiling: it only removes content at or below the score you choose, so your higher-scoring posts stay out of range. To shield specific content regardless of its score, add its subreddit to the preserve list.
Yes. The Engagement Filter is available on every plan and reaches your whole history. Free accounts anonymize the matches with the Edit action, while permanently deleting them needs a paid plan, as does scheduling a recurring karma sweep.
No. Reddit keeps the karma you earned or lost even after the content is gone, so your total does not move. What changes is what people can see and sort through on your profile, not the number itself.
Yes, and that is exactly the surgical run this filter is built for. A karma ceiling plus a date range plus a subreddit lets you clear, for example, only last year's downvoted comments from one community.
