Mass Delete Your LinkedIn Messages
LinkedIn does not provide a way to delete conversations in bulk. Redact can delete conversations from your inbox, archive, and spam folder. You can delete them all, filter them by date, or filter by participant name.

Reasons to delete old conversations
Remove conversations you no longer need
LinkedIn conversations can contain private information that you no longer need to keep. Redact helps you remove the copies stored in your account.
Remove old private information
Old conversations may contain salary details, interview notes, or personal opinions that you no longer want in your account.
Delete the copy you control
Deleting a conversation removes it from your account. Other participants keep their copies.
Delete many conversations together
LinkedIn requires you to delete conversations one at a time. Redact can find and delete many conversations in one run.
What this feature does
Delete conversations from every mailbox
Select Conversations to find threads in your inbox, archive, and spam folder. Leave the date range empty to include every thread, or set a range to include conversations from one period. You can preview the results before deletion. Redact runs on your device and connects directly to LinkedIn. An archived conversation can still be deleted, so use filters and Preview to protect anything you want to keep.

How to mass delete your LinkedIn messages

Download Redact for free
Download for your device →Install Redact on your device. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, plus iOS and Android.

Connect your LinkedIn account
Open Redact, choose LinkedIn, and sign in. Redact connects to LinkedIn from your device, so Redact's servers do not receive your login details.

Select Conversations
In the Things to delete list, select Conversations. Clear the other types if you only want to delete conversations.
Redact is free to download, but you need the Ultimate plan to use it with LinkedIn. The plan also includes Slack, GitHub, Email, Stack Exchange, Medium, and Yelp.

Add filters if you need them
Set a date range to include conversations from one period, or add a name to the Text Filter to find threads with that person. Leave both filters empty to include every conversation in your inbox, archive, and spam folder.

Preview, then delete
Run a Preview and check the results. Then switch to Deletion and keep Redact open until the run finishes.
Your messages never leave your device
Redact connects to LinkedIn from your device. Redact's servers do not receive your conversations or login details, and you can disconnect LinkedIn when you finish.

Run a Preview, check the results, and then switch to Deletion. You need the Ultimate plan to use Redact with LinkedIn.
No. Deleting a LinkedIn conversation removes only the copy in your account. The other participants keep their copies.
Yes. Redact checks the Messages, Archived, and Spam mailboxes. LinkedIn includes "Other" conversations in the inbox, so Redact checks them too. Archiving a conversation does not protect it from deletion. Use a date or name filter, and check the Preview before deletion if you want to keep specific conversations.
Yes. Add the person's name to the Text Filter to find conversations with that name. The filter checks participant names, not message text. Check the Preview because two contacts may have the same name.
Yes. Set a date range that ends at your cutoff. LinkedIn dates a conversation by its most recent activity, so a conversation with a recent reply counts as recent even if it started years ago. Check the Preview before deletion.
