Mass Unfollow Companies and People on LinkedIn
LinkedIn requires you to unfollow companies, groups, and people one at a time. Redact can process your follow lists in bulk. Following and connecting are separate on LinkedIn, so unfollowing a person does not remove the connection.

What this feature does
Unfollow companies, groups, and people
Select Follows to include companies and groups, and select People to include people. LinkedIn's People list can include current connections. Unfollowing a person stops their posts from appearing in your feed but does not remove the connection. You can use the Text Filter to include specific names. Leaving a group is a separate action that you can manage with the LinkedIn groups feature.

How to mass unfollow on LinkedIn with Redact

Download Redact for free
Download for your device →Install Redact on your device. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, plus iOS and Android.

Connect your LinkedIn account
Open Redact, choose LinkedIn, and sign in. Redact connects to LinkedIn from your device, so Redact's servers do not receive your login details.

Select Follows and People
In the Things to delete list, select Follows for companies and groups, and select People for people. Clear the content types if you only want to change your follow lists.
Redact is free to download, but you need the Ultimate plan to use it with LinkedIn. The plan also includes Slack, GitHub, Email, Stack Exchange, Medium, and Yelp.

Filter by name if you want to
Add a company, group, or person's name to the Text Filter. For these types, the filter checks names instead of post text.
LinkedIn does not provide a date for a follow, so the date range has no effect. A run can include follows from any date.

Preview, then unfollow
Run a Preview and check the results. Use Review and Delete if you want to keep specific follows, or switch to Deletion to unfollow every match. Current connections remain connected.

No. Following and connecting are separate on LinkedIn. Unfollowing stops the person's posts from appearing in your feed, but the person remains a connection. LinkedIn does not notify them, and they can still follow you.
Connect LinkedIn in Redact and select Follows, which includes companies and groups. Leave the Text Filter empty to include the complete list. Run a Preview, check the results, and then switch to Deletion. You need the Ultimate plan to use Redact with LinkedIn.
Redact uses the list from LinkedIn's Following page. If a person does not appear in the Preview, LinkedIn did not include them in that list. Unfollowing does not remove connections.
No. Redact does not remove LinkedIn connections because reconnecting requires the other person to accept a new invitation. Redact can remove follows and group memberships, which you can restore yourself.
No. LinkedIn does not provide a date for a follow or group membership, so Redact cannot apply a date range to these types. Use the Text Filter to narrow the results by name.
