How to clear your Threads quote posts with Redact

Download Redact for free
Download for your device →Install Redact on your computer. The Threads tools run in the desktop app on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Connect your Threads account
Open Redact, choose Threads, and sign in. Your login goes straight to Threads from your machine and never touches a Redact server.

Select Quotes and scope the run
Check Quotes in the content picker and leave the other types unchecked. Add a date range or keywords if only part of your history needs to go.

Run a Preview so you can read the full list of matching quote posts before anything is removed.

No. Deleting a quote removes your commentary post only. The post you quoted stays exactly where it is; you're only cleaning your own profile.
Yes. Content types are selected independently, so you can check Quotes and leave Posts, Replies, and Reposts unchecked. Only your quote posts are included in the run.
Your commentary. Redact matches the words you wrote above the quote, so filtering on a phrase from the original post won't queue anything.
Yes. Give it a window, absolute dates or relative ones like "between two and four years ago," and only quote posts inside it get queued. Everything outside the window is ignored.
