You never sat down to write a record of your interests, your moods, and your 1 a.m. opinions. Your likes wrote it anyway, timestamped and in perfect order, growing quietly since the day you joined.
The list outlived the reason
Most likes were a half-second reaction to something you couldn't place today. The reaction is long gone. The record of it is still on your profile, in order, going back to your first week.
The gentlest delete there is
Unliking harms nothing. No author loses a post, no thread loses a reply, and every liked post stays exactly where it was. The heart just quietly comes off, at whatever scale you need.
Thousands of clicks, or one easy run
Every like has to come off individually, and Threads isn't going to make that job easy for you. Point Redact at the pile instead, and the app grinds it down until all that's left is what you meant to keep.
Sweep every like, or filter first for a precise cleanup
The full sweep is one blank filter away. If that's too much, scope it: a date range works on the liked post's publish date, not when you tapped like, so "older than a year" clears likes on older posts, and keywords match against each liked post's own text, so one topic can vanish from your history while the rest stays.

Two filters, and that's the honest list
Likes are their own category in Redact, with a smaller filter set than your posts. The image and engagement filters only apply to content you posted.
Date range
Filter by the liked post's publish date, not when you tapped like. A relative range like "older than a year" queues likes on posts that went up over a year ago and stays accurate on every scheduled run.
Keywords to delete
Match the liked post's own text - its caption is what's searched, not any post it quotes - so a single topic can disappear from your like history in one pass.
Keywords to preserve
Name the phrases worth keeping and any liked post whose own caption contains one is left alone.
See the damage before you undo it
Preview runs your filters without touching anything, so the first thing you learn is how many likes you've actually accumulated.

Download Redact for free

Connect your Threads account
Open Redact, choose Threads, and sign in. Your login goes straight to Threads from your machine and never touches a Redact server.

Your taste is nobody's business
Redact runs on your device and talks to Threads directly from there. Your login and your likes never pass through a Redact server, and the local archive keeps a record on your machine before anything is removed.

No. Unliking removes your like and nothing else. The post itself is untouched and stays right where it was.
Yes. Likes have their own tab in Redact, separate from Delete Posts, so a likes run never touches your posts, replies, reposts, or quotes. Only your likes are included in the run.
No. The Engagement Filter applies to content you posted, not to your likes. On the Likes tab the filters are the date range and keywords, matched on the liked post's own caption.
Yes, though the date comes from the liked post, not from when you tapped like. A relative range like "older than a year" queues likes whose post went up over a year ago, so liking an old post today still counts as old. The liked-media feed carries no "liked at" time, so that publish date is the only date it can use, and a scheduled run keeps rolling the window forward for you.
Redact doesn't message or notify anyone. It removes each like the same way you would by hand, and sends nothing to the post's author in the process.
