Mass Delete Threads Replies
Your replies live in other people's posts, scattered across conversations you'll never scroll back through. Redact targets every reply on your account and removes them in bulk, or narrows the targets down by date range and keyword so only the specific replies you want gone are deleted.

Why bother cleaning up your Threads replies?
Replies are the easiest part of your account to forget about, and the hardest part to clean up by hand.
They live on other people's content
Your replies don't sit on your profile where you'd see them. They're attached to conversations other people started, in front of their audiences, long after you've forgotten the exchange but still able to be seen by anyone.
Old arguments almost never age well
A heated reply from a pile-on two years ago reads very differently out of context. Clearing them takes the old exchanges out of circulation without touching the replies you're proud of.
Replies are searchable
Anyone who opens your profile's replies tab can scroll your entire history of responses. It's a record of what caught your attention and how you reacted, going back to your first day on Threads.
Deleting them by hand is brutal
Threads only deletes one reply at a time, buried in each thread's menu. Working through years of replies manually takes hours of clicking. Redact runs the whole queue for you quietly in the background.
Zero in on the exact replies you want removed
Leave the filters blank to remove every reply on your account, or narrow the batch with Redact's custom filtering options. Filters stack, so you can clear replies containing a keyword within a date range and leave everything else alone.

Select what you want to delete
Clear every reply, or narrow it to a topic
Replies use the same filter set as your posts, so a full sweep and a single-topic cleanup are the same job with different settings.
Date range
Clear one stretch of time and leave the rest, using absolute dates or a relative range that stays accurate on every run.
Keywords to delete
Match the words in your own reply text. Whole-word matching keeps a short filter from catching unrelated conversations.
Keywords to preserve
Name the phrases that should always survive, and any reply containing one is skipped.
Reply has an image
Limit the run to replies that carry media, which is the quickest way to find the ones people actually screenshot.
Engagement filter
Cap the run at a maximum number of likes so a reply that genuinely landed doesn't get swept up with the rest.
Four ways to work through the queue
Preview
The no-risk look. Every reply that matches your filters lines up first, and nothing comes off yet.
Deletion
One clean sweep. Redact clears every matching reply across every thread while you watch it go.
Review and Delete
Reply-by-reply control. Spare the answer that still matters, cut the argument that doesn't. It needs the local archive turned on, which is the default.
Schedule
A recurring quiet pass. New replies that match your rules keep clearing on the cadence you set.
How to mass delete your Threads replies with Redact
Connect your account, select Replies, and Redact clears the matched replies from every conversation they're sitting in.
- 1
Download Redact for free
Download for your device →Install Redact on your computer. The Threads tools run in the desktop app on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- 2
Connect your Threads account
Open Redact, choose Threads, and sign in. Your login goes straight to Threads from your machine and never touches a Redact server.
- 3
Select Replies and filter the batch
Check Replies in the content picker and leave the other types unchecked. Then leave the filters blank to queue every reply you've ever posted, or set a date range and keywords first.
Heads up: Threads is a Premium platform. Redact's Free plan covers Twitter/X, Reddit, Discord, and Facebook, so you can try the app on one of those before you upgrade.
- 4
Preview before anything moves
Run a Preview to see the full list of matching replies before anything is removed.
- 5
Clear them, then keep them clear
Start the run, or step through it in Review and Delete mode. Set a Schedule afterwards so new replies matching your rules never build back up.
Nothing leaves your computer
Redact runs on your device and talks to Threads directly from there. Your login and your replies never pass through a Redact server, and the local archive keeps a copy on your machine before anything is removed.
