Why clean up your likes
Your likes are public until you remove them
Anyone who opens your profile can scroll everything you've ever liked, back to your first week on SoundCloud. You probably never meant to publish the list, and SoundCloud never clears it for you.
Old likes don't represent you now
A like you tapped on a meme remix in 2016 sits on your profile with the same weight as the artists you follow today. Clearing the older likes leaves a list closer to what you listen to now.
A likes list is a listening history
Read in order, your likes show what you were into and when, going back years. It is the most detailed thing on the profile and the least deliberate.
Removing a like can be undone
Removing a like is reversible, which a track deletion isn't, because you can like the track again later by hand. Likes are the easy first pass when you're tidying up a profile.
Removing likes by hand takes hours
Removing a like by hand means finding the track and tapping the heart again, one track at a time, through years of history. A few thousand likes can take an evening or two, and SoundCloud has no select-all.
What this feature does
Remove the whole likes list, or only specific part of it
Redact pages through your likes from newest to oldest and queues the ones that match. Leave the filters blank and the whole list comes off. Set a relative range such as older than two years, and the older likes come off while your recent listening stays.
- Keywords read the title of the track you liked. You didn't write those titles, so choose keywords from the music, such as a genre word, a remix tag, or a track title.
- Any liked track whose title contains a preserve keyword is skipped.
- Likes have their own checkbox, so your uploads, comments, and reposts aren't part of the run.

Narrow the scope of removals
Scope a likes run by date or by the track's title
Leave the filters empty and Redact queues the whole list. Set a date range, a keyword, or both, and only the likes that match go in.
By date range
Set absolute dates or a rolling window such as older than two years, so the older likes come off and your recent listening stays.
By the liked track's title
The keyword filter reads the title of the track you liked, so you can clear one genre phase or one track name on its own. Matching is on whole words, and there is no filter on the artist.
Titles to preserve
Add the tracks you want to keep liked. A preserve match always beats a delete match, so those likes survive the run.
Likes only
Check Likes and leave Tracks, Comments, and Reposts unchecked, and Redact queues nothing else on the account.

How to clear your SoundCloud likes

Download Redact for free
Download for your device →Install Redact on your computer. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Deleting content from the last 30 days is free on every plan, and reaching further back into your history needs Premium.

Connect your SoundCloud account
Open Redact, pick SoundCloud, and log in. You sign in on your own device, and Redact talks to SoundCloud directly from there. Your login never passes through a Redact server.

Pick Likes as the content type
In easy mode, tap Likes and choose a date range. In the Advanced form, check Likes and leave Tracks, Comments, and Reposts unchecked so they stay out of the run.

Add a date range, keywords, or neither. Keywords here match the title of the track you liked rather than anything you wrote. Preview lists every like that matches, so you can check the batch before anything is removed.

No. The track stays on the artist's profile and its play count is unaffected. Removing your like only takes your like off the track and drops it from your likes list.
Redact doesn't post, comment, or announce anything when it runs, and it removes each like the same way you would by hand, one at a time. What SoundCloud itself notifies people about is up to SoundCloud.
They match the title of the track you liked, which is someone else's wording rather than yours, so a keyword such as remix or nightcore is the useful kind here. There's no way to filter likes by artist or genre. The date filter goes by when you liked the track, and it falls back to the track's own date when SoundCloud doesn't record a like time.
Yes. First, you can narrow the date range. Second, you can add the titles you want kept to the preserve keyword list. Third, you can run Review and Delete and skip individual likes as they come up. Anything you exclude stays exactly as it is.
Likes you added in the last 30 days are free to clear on every plan. Going deeper than that into the history needs Premium. Most people are trying to clear years of likes, so expect a full wipe to be a Premium run.
Yes. Redact only removes the likes that exist when it runs. Like whatever you want afterwards, and it will only come off if a later scheduled run matches it.
