How to remove your info from PeopleSmart

PeopleSmart looks like a B2B contact tool now, but the consumer people-search index it launched with is still running and still listing people. The opt-out is free and stated to take 24 hours. The family-wide portal LTVCO filed with California suppresses BeenVerified rather than PeopleSmart, so the form below is the one that clears this site.

Don't be thrown by the homepage. PeopleSmart markets a professional contact database now, so nothing on the front page looks like a people-search site. The opt-out you want is still there, and the company's own wording for it is removal from "PeopleSmart's People Search results".

The steps

Remove your listing

Open the opt-out page and search for your contact record

Go to peoplesmart.com/optout. The page is headed "Looking To Opt-Out of Our Contact Search?" and asks you to start by searching a contact record - which is the first sign this isn't the people-search opt-out you might be expecting.

The fields are First and last name in one box, then Job Title and Company (both optional), a City, and a state dropdown. Fill in your name and city and search. Cloudflare checks the browser first and shows a green Success! before the form works.

The form is built around your work record. It is headed "Contact Search" and searches by employer and job title rather than address history, while the opt-out's own explanation describes removal from "PeopleSmart's People Search results". Which of the two indexes a single submission clears is not something the walk could settle, so treat one submission as covering one of them and read the troubleshooting section below. Its sister brands' records are separate either way and need their own requests.

Judges, prosecutors, law enforcement and their households have a separate route. The same page carries a Daniel's Law / Covered Persons notice telling Covered Persons to skip the automated form and email privacy@peoplesmart.com with either a link or screenshot of the record, or a full name, date of birth, city and state of residence, and email address.

Find your record and click Optout

Results come back as a table of Name & Title, Company and Location, each row tagged Match and ending in a black Optout button. Click the one on your row.

What tells the rows apart here is your job title and employer, not age or relatives - a single common name can return a dozen executives across different companies and cities. The left-hand panel filters by job title, company, location and seniority if there's too much to sort through.

Each row is a separate request. If you appear under an old employer as well as a current one, that's two opt-outs.

Screenshot the listing before you remove it. If the record comes back later, a dated screenshot of what was published is the evidence you'll want.

Enter your email and send the verification

You land on Submit Your Opt-Out Request. Enter an email address, tick the I am human hCaptcha, and click Send Verification Email.

Nothing is recorded until you click the link it sends, so use an address you can open, and prefer a masked or secondary one over your primary. There's no reason to hand a contact-data company a fresh identifier while you're removing the ones it already holds. PeopleSmart states it only uses the address to verify the request, and that no account and no payment are needed to opt out.

Once confirmed, PeopleSmart states removal takes 24 hours. If you have several records, the site's own instruction is to email privacy@peoplesmart.com rather than run the form repeatedly.

⏳ Expect this to be slow. FamFinder and NumberGuru run the same LTVCO form, and on August 7, 2026 FamFinder's verification email took hours to arrive - long enough that we initially recorded the flow as broken. Nothing is recorded until you click the link, so a quiet inbox means the request is pending rather than refused. Check spam, don't resubmit, and use privacy@peoplesmart.com if you'd rather not wait.

Check the record actually dropped

Search your own name on peoplesmart.com again after 24 hours. A confirmation screen isn't proof - the only thing that is, is your listing being gone.

If it's still there, email privacy@peoplesmart.com with the record's URL and the date you submitted, then escalate to privacy@ltvco.com at the parent if that goes unanswered.

Check the rest of the family

There's no single portal that clears the family, whatever the filing implies. Each LTVCO brand serves its own copy of this form on its own domain, confirmed across the family in August 2026, so a request here is a request to PeopleSmart and nothing more. Run each brand you actually appear on.

The ones most likely to show the same record are BeenVerified and PeopleLooker, which share the people-search index. NeighborWho and Ownerly publish property history. NumberGuru and ReversePhone are the phone-lookup side.

Bumper, FreePhoneTracer, EmailFinder, MoneyBot5000 and FamFinder round out the filing. Search yourself on each and submit where you find a record.

wingmate.com is on the filing but is no longer a people-search site. As of August 2026 it serves an astrology and personal-development app rather than a lookup product, and its opt-out paths return errors because what they belonged to is gone. There's nothing to remove there.

Check it worked

Search your name again a day or two later, then check BeenVerified and PeopleLooker. Also search the web for your name alongside site:peoplesmart.com - listing pages get indexed, and a removed record can sit in a search cache for a while after it's gone from the site.

Keep every confirmation email. On this family they matter more than usual, because the operator's own filing reports that a large share of deletion requests get granted only in part.

If it fails

Troubleshooting

You can't find a search box. The homepage sells the B2B product and doesn't expose the consumer index. Go straight to the opt-out URL above rather than looking for a people search on the front page.
No verification email. Check spam, then try again with a different address. The form is the only thing that triggers it.
Granted, but the record is only half gone. LTVCO reported 11,512 of its 31,905 deletion requests in 2024 as complied with in part, against 19,791 in full. If yours came back partial, reply naming the fields still showing and ask for the rest.
Removed here, still on BeenVerified. That's the expected outcome if the family portal didn't propagate. Submit on each brand individually.
Your work contact details are still being sold. There is one published form and no separate route for the B2B contact product, and the form does not make clear which of the two indexes a submission clears, so say plainly in an email to privacy@peoplesmart.com that your request covers all products, not only People Search results.

One opt-out is a snapshot, not a permanent state. LTVCO rebuilds its index from public records, partner feeds, and new crawls, and PeopleSmart's B2B side adds a second reason for your details to be re-acquired - a job change puts a fresh work email and title into exactly the pipeline this product sells.

Recheck quarterly, and recheck the family rather than the brand. It's one dataset with thirteen front doors, so a record that comes back here has usually come back on BeenVerified and PeopleLooker at the same time.
