Reposts sit in the same feed as your own music for everyone to see
Visitors scrolling your page see one long feed, and every old repost is part of how it reads. SoundCloud doesn't separate the tracks you made from the ones you passed along.
A repost stays on your profile until you remove it
A repost tells visitors you recommend a track, and it keeps saying so for years after your taste changes. Clearing the old ones leaves a profile that shows what you would still recommend today.
Playlist reposts count too
Reposting somebody's playlist puts the whole playlist on your profile, and those are the ones people forget about. Redact treats a playlist repost as a repost, so one run clears both kinds.
The original track isn't touched
Removing a repost doesn't delete the track or take anything away from the artist. The track stays on their profile exactly as it was, and only your share of it goes away.
Removing reposts by hand takes hours
Removing a repost by hand means scrolling your whole feed and toggling each one off individually. Years of reposts is hundreds of taps. Redact finds them and removes them for you.
What this feature does
Remove one release, one era, or every repost
Redact pages through your repost history and queues what matches, whether the repost points at a single track or at somebody's playlist. Set the date range for the era and the keyword filter for the title, and Redact queues exactly that slice of the feed. Leave both empty and the whole repost history is queued instead.
- Track reposts and playlist reposts are the same content type, so there's nothing extra to switch on.
- Keywords match the name of the track or playlist you shared, not anything you wrote.

How to clear your SoundCloud reposts

Download Redact for free
Download for your device →Install Redact on your computer. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Deleting content from the last 30 days is free on every plan, and reaching further back into your history needs Premium.

Connect your SoundCloud account
Open Redact, pick SoundCloud, and log in. You sign in on your own device, and Redact talks to SoundCloud directly from there. Your login never passes through a Redact server.

Check Reposts and scope the run
Tap Reposts in easy mode with a date range, or open the Advanced form for the keyword lists. One checkbox covers both track reposts and playlist reposts.
- Set the date range and leave the keywords empty to clear a whole era.
- Add the track or playlist name as a delete keyword to clear one release or series.
- Add the titles you want to keep to the preserve list.

Preview, then run it
Read the match list. Preview only lists, so tighten the filters if it caught a repost you want to keep, or run Review and Delete to decide one at a time. Redact then works through the queue from your device, and you can pause or stop at any point. Anything still in the queue stays untouched until you resume.
Nothing about what you reshared leaves your device
Redact lists and removes your reposts entirely on your own device. No Redact server sees which artists you shared, which playlists you carried, or the account that did it, and you can disconnect SoundCloud with one click.

Frequently asked questions
Install Redact, sign in to SoundCloud, and make Reposts the only ticked box. An unfiltered run queues every repost on the profile, and a date range or keyword trims it to just the ones you mean. Look over the queue, then start it.
No. The original stays on the artist's profile, completely untouched, along with its plays and comments. Removing your repost only takes it off your own profile and out of your feed.
Yes. Both are the same content type in Redact, so checking Reposts covers a playlist you reshared and a single track you reshared in the same run. There's nothing extra to enable.
No, and Redact can't delete a SoundCloud playlist at all, yours or anyone else's. It removes your repost of a playlist. The playlist keeps existing on its owner's profile and only stops appearing on yours. To delete a playlist you made, use SoundCloud itself.
It reads the title of the reposted track or playlist, and nothing else. There is no artist or account filter, so a keyword only reaches a poster through the words in their titles. Those titles are somebody else's, so pick from the music rather than from anything you typed. Matching is on whole words.
Yes. You select content types independently, so you can check Reposts and leave Tracks, Comments, and Likes unchecked. Only your reposts are included in the run.
Yes. Everything you reposted in the last 30 days is free to clear on every plan, and anything older is part of Premium. The filters themselves are never gated, and the only line is the age of the repost.
