Why clean up your uploads
Your old track uploads stay public until you delete them
SoundCloud doesn't remove old uploads on its own. A track you posted years ago keeps streaming until you delete it yourself, and it sits on the same profile page as your newest work.
Listeners see your whole profile
Listeners, collaborators, and labels look at the whole page and not only the pinned track. Five strong releases are harder to find when they sit under forty rough takes you never meant to keep public.
Unfinished tracks stay attached to your current name
Uploads named demo, rough, v2, or untitled were unfinished when you posted them. They're still public years later, under the artist name you use now, and nothing marks them as old.
Deleting a track is permanent
SoundCloud removes the track along with its plays and its comments, and there's no undo. Run Preview Mode first, since it lists every match without removing anything, or Review and Delete to go track by track.
Deleting by hand takes a long time
SoundCloud deletes one track at a time, each behind its own menu and its own confirmation. Working through years of uploads by hand can take a full evening. Redact works through the queue for you in the background.

Connect your account and run Redact to sift through your uploads, newest to oldest, into one list you can act on. Leave the filters blank and the whole catalog is queued for removal. Set a date range, a title keyword, or both, and only the tracks that match are included in the removal queue.

Narrow the run
The filters you can set on a track run
Leave everything blank and Redact queues every track on the account. You can also combine the filters below to select one era or one project. Redact has no play count, genre, or visibility filter for SoundCloud, so the list below is the complete set.
By date range
Set absolute start and end dates, or a rolling window such as older than two years. A relative range is recalculated on every scheduled run, so it stays accurate.
By track title
Add words or phrases, and Redact queues only the tracks whose title contains one of them. Matching is on whole words, so a short keyword won't catch the whole catalog.
Titles to preserve
A second keyword list keeps tracks out of the run. A preserve match always beats a delete match, so you can keep your releases while you clear everything around them.
Tracks only
Content types are independent checkboxes. Check Tracks on its own, and your likes, comments, and reposts stay where they are.

How to mass delete your SoundCloud tracks

Download Redact for free
Download for your device →Install Redact on your computer. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Deleting content from the last 30 days is free on every plan, and reaching further back into your history needs Premium.

Connect your SoundCloud account
Open Redact, pick SoundCloud, and log in. You sign in on your own device, and Redact talks to SoundCloud directly from there. Your login never passes through a Redact server.

Choose Tracks
Easy mode is enough for a straight catalog clear-out, so tap Tracks and set a date range. Switch to the Advanced form when you want the keyword filters, because the delete and preserve lists live there.

Set your filters, or leave them empty
Leave every field empty to queue the whole catalog, or narrow the run down.
- Set the date range to clear one era, for example everything before 2020.
- Add title keywords such as demo, rough, or the working name of the record to clear one project.
- Add the titles of your releases to the preserve list, so they're skipped no matter what else matches.

Preview the matches, then run the deletion
Run a Preview and read what it caught. Tighten the filters if the list is wider than you meant, and then start the deletion. You can also switch to Review and Delete to skip individual tracks as they come up.
Save your masters somewhere safe first. Deleting on SoundCloud is permanent, and Redact's archive keeps a record of what the run found rather than the audio file itself.
Your catalog is processed on your own device
Redact reads, matches, and deletes your uploads on the device you're using. No Redact server sees a track title, an account, or a login, and disconnecting SoundCloud ends the connection immediately.

To queue the whole catalog, leave the date range at all time and both keyword lists empty, or narrow the run first. Run a Preview to read the full list, tighten the filters if it caught more than you meant, and then start the deletion. Redact works through the queue from your device. To keep individual tracks instead, run Review and Delete.
Yes. Set the date range to a window such as older than two years, and Redact queues only the uploads inside it. A relative range is recalculated on every run, so a scheduled cleanup keeps trimming the old end of the catalog while your recent work stays.
No. Deleting a track on SoundCloud is permanent, and it removes the plays and comments on that track as well. Redact keeps no copy on any server. Preview exists for that reason, and Review and Delete lets you skip individual tracks during a run. Keep your own masters before you start.
No. The local archive keeps a record of what a run found, which for a track is its title, its date, and the link it used to live at. It doesn't download the audio. Export your own masters from SoundCloud or from your DAW before you run a large deletion.
The keyword filter searches the track title. Redact matches your delete and preserve keywords against the title of each upload on whole words only, so a keyword of mix catches summer mix but not mixing. There's no filter on description, genre, tags, or play count.
Tracks you uploaded in the last 30 days are free to delete, with every filter available. Anything older than that needs Premium. The 30 days is a window on the age of the content and not a trial clock, so it doesn't run out on you.
Yes. Schedule mode reruns the same filters on the schedule you choose, and with a relative date range, uploads come down as they cross your age threshold. Redact has to be running for a scheduled run to fire, so leave it open in the background.
