Frequently asked questions
- Log in to the Redact app and choose "Pinterest" from the left side menu.
- Things to delete - Select Pins.
- Redact In Board - You can tick "select all" if you want to target all pins for mass deletion. Otherwise, choose the boards to target pins in.
- Keyword - Target pins that contain specific keywords you enter. Leave empty to target all pins.
- Links - Only target pins containing these links. Leave this field blank to target all pins.
- Domains - Only target pins pointing to these domains. Leave this field blank to target all pins.
- Site Names - Only remove pins pointing to these site names (eBay, Etsy, Redact, ETC). Leave this field blank to target all pins.
- Finally, choose what to do with the pins.
- Preview Mode - Shows you the list of pins your search settings produced so you can determine if you want to mass delete them.
- Select & Delete Mode - This option allows you to sort through your list of pins and manually decide which ones to keep and which ones to remove. You're able to mass-tick boxes next to each pin. This is a happy medium between mass deleting and manually deleting by hand. Note - if you have a long Pinterest history, this option could take considerable time.
- Deletion Mode - This is what you use if your preview mode checks out. Only use deletion mode if everything you saw in preview mode is what you want to remove. There is no going back after you click "start deleting".

- Date Range - Choose the date range the boards were created to determine deletion targets. The default setting is for "all-time" and will target all of your boards.
- Keyword - Target boards that contain specific keywords you enter. Leave empty to target all pins. This won't match sub-word text, only full words.
- Pin Count - Only delete boards with a pin count in this range. Leave this blank to target all boards.
- Follower Count - Only delete boards with a follower count in this range. Leave this blank to target all boards.
- Repin Count - Only delete boards with a re-pin count in this range. Leave this blank to target all boards.
- Exclude Collaborative - Protect collaborative boards from being deleted.
- Exclude Private - Protect private boards from being deleted.
- Finally, choose what to do with the boards.
