The site and who's behind it

Search Quarry sells public-records lookups under the slogan "Information is Freedom". Its homepage search takes a first and last name, a city and a state, with more tabs for phone numbers, license plates and VINs. The privacy policy, effective August 19, 2026, says the service is provided by Search Quarry, LLC.

Search Quarry's own paperwork keeps pointing at one other company. The printable Data Opt Out & Removal Request Form linked from its FAQ is addressed to the InfoPay Data Opt Out Department at a P.O. box in Boston. The privacy policy says InfoPay honors Global Privacy Control signals and links to InfoPay, Inc.'s California request figures. And the online removal page at members.searchquarry.com is InfoPay's own opt-out software, down to field names that carry InfoPay's name. It's the same page InfoTracer, StateCourts.org and ThePublicIndex run.

None of that is ownership. searchquarry.com isn't among the thirteen domains InfoPay files with California, and Search Quarry, LLC doesn't appear on the registry under its own name either (both checked September 22, 2026). The one ownership statement on record comes from the LLC itself. When it was sued in New Jersey in 2024, it told the federal court its corporate parent is Search Quarry, Inc. So InfoPay's link to the site is drawn as shared operation, and the page doesn't call Search Quarry an InfoPay brand.

Some searches leave the site altogether. The phone number, license plate and VIN tabs carry a Reports powered by BeenVerified line, and the site's code sends those searches to BeenVerified with an affiliate code attached. Name searches started from its marriage, divorce, court case and arrest record pages are passed to TruthFinder the same way. A report reached like that belongs to the company showing it, and the InfoPay removal doesn't touch it.

The FAQ sends you to the hard way. Search Quarry's help pages point removal requests at a printable form that wants your date of birth, a copy of your photo ID and a signature, sent by fax or post, with up to 30 days to process. The online removal page asks for your name, your state and an optional email. The removal guide walks through that one.

Atlas Data Privacy Corporation sued in New Jersey state court as the assignee of people covered by Daniel's Law, which lets judges, prosecutors and police officers make a site take down their home address and unlisted phone number. Search Quarry moved the case to federal court on March 22, 2024, and three days later the LLC filed a disclosure naming Search Quarry, Inc. as its corporate parent. The same plaintiff brought parallel cases against brokers including Enformion and Whitepages. On November 20, 2024 the federal court granted the plaintiffs' motion to send the case back to the Superior Court in Monmouth County, and on March 18, 2025 the Third Circuit turned down a petition to appeal that order. The federal docket doesn't show how the state case has gone since, so we don't say.

Is Search Quarry a data broker?

Yes. It gathers public records and sells lookups on people by name, and it passes phone, plate and VIN searches on to BeenVerified. It doesn't appear on California's data broker registry, though, either under its own name or on the filing of InfoPay, the company whose removal system it uses.

Who owns Search Quarry?

Its privacy policy names Search Quarry, LLC as the provider, and that LLC told a federal court in March 2024 that its corporate parent is Search Quarry, Inc. Search Quarry, Inc. told the same court it's a Delaware corporation with no parent company, and nothing we can cite names who owns it.

Not for the online removal. The page at members.searchquarry.com asks for your name and state, then an optional email address. The ID requirement belongs to the printable form in Search Quarry's FAQ, which also wants your date of birth and a signature, goes by fax or post, and allows up to 30 days. Will removing myself here take me off InfoTracer too?
