IDCrawl
- Redact removes listings automatically
A free people search engine run by IDCrawl LLC. Type a name and it builds one page for everyone who shares it, pulling together social media profiles, usernames, photos, school and donation records, and teaser rows of phone numbers, email addresses and relatives supplied by paid background-check sites. Nothing sits behind a login. Removal is a free two-part request, a form and then an emailed link. The BBB rates it F, with 30 of 33 complaints unanswered.

Each broker is scored 1 to 4 across the six dimensions above; higher means more exposure, and the overall gauge is their average.
What each dimension means
- Data published: how much and how sensitive the personal data they put out.
- Re-listing frequency: how quickly you reappear after opting out.
- Complaint record: the volume and pattern of complaints across BBB, Trustpilot, and Sitejabber. No listing, or a listing with no reviews, counts against the broker.
- Opt-out friction: how hard the removal process is to complete.
- Operator opacity: how hidden the operating company and its principals are.
- Prior data incidents: history of breaches or leaks of the data they hold.

Background
Background
IDCrawl's privacy policy and terms both name IDCrawl LLC as the company behind the site. Its About page calls IDCrawl "a free people search engine" that gathers social networks, deep web sources, phone directories, email databases and criminal records, and claims more than 500 million people indexed from over 50 sources.
A search doesn't land on a profile of one person. It lands on a page for the name, at an address like idcrawl.com/first-last, shared by everybody who has that name. A state filter narrows the paid rows, and the page stays the same page.
Most of what's on it is a list of links IDCrawl found elsewhere, such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn accounts. The rows that look like a background check aren't IDCrawl's own records. Each of those blocks is marked as sponsored by TruthFinder, Spokeo or PeopleLooker, and its links hand you to that company's paid report.
Neither IDCrawl nor idcrawl.com appears on California's data broker registry, in the 2024 list, the 2025 list or the current one, and its policy says it isn't a consumer reporting agency.
Taking a page down here doesn't touch the source. IDCrawl's policy says removal from IDCrawl "does not remove it from the original source", so the sponsored rows stay live on the sites that supply them. Each of those sites runs its own removal.

FAQ
Q & A
Who owns IDCrawl?
IDCrawl LLC, the company named in the site's privacy policy and terms. Neither one names a parent company, and the site gives no street address.
Is IDCrawl free?
Yes. Searching and reading a name page costs nothing and needs no account. The buttons that ask for money belong to the sponsors, and they open TruthFinder, Spokeo or PeopleLooker.
How do I get off IDCrawl?
Send the address of your name page and an email address through IDCrawl's removal form, then use the link it emails you to pick what comes down. The IDCrawl removal guide covers both parts.
Does removing my IDCrawl page remove me from TruthFinder or Spokeo?
No. IDCrawl's policy says taking information off IDCrawl leaves it at the original source. TruthFinder, Spokeo and PeopleLooker each need their own request.
Is IDCrawl covered by the FCRA?
No. Its privacy policy and terms say IDCrawl isn't a consumer reporting agency, and they bar using it to decide on credit, insurance, employment or housing.
Take yourself off data broker sites
Redact scans data broker sites from your device, finds where your details are listed, and submits the removal requests for you. If a broker relists you, it files again.
