Truth Now's California data-broker registration names three of those four outright. In the fourth slot it lists inmatesearcher.com, spelled with a single "s", and that domain is a live but unrelated inmate-locator directory sitting on entirely different infrastructure - not this site. It reads like a typo in the registrant's own filing, but nothing on the record says so, which means InmatesSearcher's place in the family rests on the shared backend and template rather than on the state naming it. A re-check on 2026-08-18 showed that this domain serves a page MD5-identical to Check Secrets' from the same IP address, while the single-"s" domain answers from a different address entirely, runs WordPress behind an ad network, and names no connection to Truth Now anywhere in its privacy policy. The CCPA metrics table in the site's own privacy policy reports 111,614 opt-out requests processed in calendar 2025 with a one-day median.

InmatesSearcher's records were also in the MC2 Data leak of 2024. Security researcher JayeLTee found a passwordless server whose user records mapped to 15 people-search brands, with its initial admin accounts on @mc2data.com addresses, and DataBreaches.net published the brand list with inmatessearcher.com on it. Cybernews, which broke the story, counted 106,316,633 exposed records and named five of the brands. Per the California data-broker registry, the wider MC2 Data network files through five LLC fronts - Truth Now (Check Secrets, SealedRecords, PeopleSearchUSA), The People Searchers (peoplesearcher.com, secretinfo.org), Private Records (privaterecords.net, PeopleSearch123, Background Checkers, PersonSearchers), We Inform (weinform.org, truthrecord.org), and Infomatics (PrivateReports, MugshotLook, PublicSearcher). That is fourteen domains on file, and this unfiled site makes fifteen. The brand list researchers pulled out of the leak also runs to fifteen, and it's the same fifteen domains.
