Arrest and custody records do more damage the longer they sit, so here's the useful news first. InmatesSearcher's removal page loads and takes a request again. In August it met every attempt with a failure notice. On October 8, 2026 the same address served a rebuilt Privacy Requests page, which we read through to the submit button without sending anything. It's short, it's free, and it finishes with a link in your email.

Don't put this one off. Arrest data follows people into job applications and tenancy checks long after the underlying matter is closed, and the request takes a few minutes.
The steps
Load the request page and look at the two round buttons near the top. The first, Your Privacy Choices, is selected when you arrive and deals only with selling and sharing. Select Remove My Information.
Type the first and last name the record is under. InmatesSearcher adds a note beneath the surname box asking you to leave off a suffix such as Jr., Sr. or III, so drop it even if the court record carries one. Then set the birth month, day and year, and add the city, ZIP code and state.
If the record is under a former name, use that name. The page gives you no way to look the listing up first, so match it to whatever you've seen published.
Give an address where the confirmation can reach you, then choose Submit removal request. Filing for a relative is allowed, but the page then asks you to tick a box and attach their signed permission as a PDF of up to 10 MB.
We stopped before submitting. The form itself doesn't show a CAPTCHA. If one turns up after you submit, solve it and continue.
InmatesSearcher's page is blunt that the request does nothing by itself and the link is what triggers removal. Open the message and click through. After that, the site says, the person stops appearing in new searches and in reports its members can already open.
If it fails
A failure notice after submitting. That was this site's behavior all summer. If it returns, call (855) 512-1119. The form names that line as the way to complete a request with a person.
The email doesn't show up. Search spam for InmatesSearcher, then submit once more with a different address.
The 45 days pass and you're still listed. Write to support@inmatessearcher.com with the date you submitted and the date you clicked.
Told to contact a different brand. This site is tied to the Truth Now brands by shared code and a shared server, not by any filing. Truth Now's registration lists inmatesearcher.com with one "s", which is a different and unrelated site. Name inmatessearcher.com explicitly, with the two "s"s.
The record reappears. County and state sources publish on their own schedule. Check again in a month, and file again if it has come back.
Stay off
This one needs rechecking more than most, because jail rosters and court dockets refill sites like it without anybody deciding to relist you. The site's own search stops at a credit card form (a $0.30 hold, labelled identity validation, seen on October 8, 2026), so do your checking through a search engine with site:inmatessearcher.com and your name, every few months. While you're there, look at Check Secrets, SealedRecords and People Search USA, which run on the same platform and take their own separate requests.
Redact scans data broker sites from your device, finds where your details are listed, and submits the removal requests for you. If a broker relists you, it files again.
October 8, 2026 · Replaces the August 10 write-up, when every attempt on the old search returned "Your request failed. Please try again later." The form has been rebuilt since. We opened the new page on October 8, read all of it and took the captures here, and stopped at the submit button. What InmatesSearcher does after submission is taken from its own wording. A person did complete this same page on sister site Background Checkers on October 8. That confirmation email went to the spam folder, so search there.
