Redact vs Circleboom: Features & Pricing Plans Compared

Circleboom is one of the best-known ways to mass delete tweets, and to their credit, they're pretty good at it. It's on X's own list of Enterprise API customers, and it does a lot more than just delete tweets. The differences that matter are where the deleting happens, what a full cleanup costs, and whether your X archive ever leaves your computer.

We make Redact and obviously we're going to have a natural bias towards ourselves, so I'll be as honest about where Circleboom wins as about where it doesn't. Every fact about Circleboom below links to Circleboom's own pages, checked on September 28, 2026, and who wrote this and how we checked is at the end.

What a full cleanup will cost you

If you only need one cleanup, the math favors Circleboom. A single month of its Limited Plan is $29.99, and Redact Premium isn't sold by the month. By the fourth month that flips, and over a year Redact's $95.88 comes in $60 under a year of the Limited Plan. The one exception is a stretch of exactly 13 months, where a year of the Limited Plan plus one more month comes to $5.89 less than two years of Premium.

The Limited Plan renews automatically and isn't refundable, so cancel from Circleboom's dashboard once the job's done. To pay once and keep cleaning, Redact also sells Premium for life at $245.

In short

Nearly the same on X. Past your newest 3,200 posts, Circleboom needs your archive and Redact doesn't

What each app deletes

On X, both delete posts, replies, reposts, likes, DMs and bookmarks, though Redact's bookmark removal is desktop-only for now. Redact also deletes Grok chats and unfollows, unblocks and unmutes accounts, which Circleboom's Limited Plan can't.

Because of X's limits, Circleboom stops at your newest 3,200 posts and likes, and anything older needs your archive's tweet or like file. It deletes up to 14,400 posts, 1,000 likes and 2,000 DMs a day, so 20,000 likes take about three weeks. Redact Premium searches X for older posts, so you can skip the archive, and its only speed limit is X's own.

Where does all your data go?

Circleboom is a web app, and its privacy policy says connecting your X account gives it full access to your tweets, followers and settings. Your deletes run on its servers, so they keep going after you close the tab. Posts past your newest 3,200 need your archive's tweet file uploaded to Circleboom, which says it discards the rest. Its policy also says it may share some data with third-party tools, AI models included.

Redact deletes from an app on your own computer or phone, so your posts, login and archive never pass through a Redact server. It only works while the app is open, though, so if you want deleting to keep running with your computer off, that's a point for Circleboom.

Apps and extra stuff

Circleboom is a website first, with an app for iPhone and iPad and no Android app. Because the deleting runs on its servers, it keeps going after you close the tab, and the Limited Plan comes with a post scheduler and an AI writer for growing your account, free for the first billing period.

Redact is an app you install on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone or Android, and it only works while it's open. It also deletes from over 40 sites in all, including Reddit, Discord and Facebook, where Circleboom's delete tools cover X only.

Redact vs Circleboom FAQ

Is Circleboom safe to use?

Circleboom is on X's list of Enterprise API customers and deletes through X's official API, the route X provides for apps like it. What you're trusting it with is access. Its privacy policy says connecting gives it full access to your tweets, followers and account settings, and that it may share some data with third-party tools, AI models included.

Does Circleboom delete likes, DMs and bookmarks?

Yes, all three, on the Limited Plan. It works through up to 1,000 likes and 2,000 DMs a day, and likes past your newest 3,200 need the like file from your X archive.

Can Redact delete tweets past the 3,200 limit?

Yes. On Premium, Redact searches X for posts older than your newest 3,200, so you don't need your archive. For a very big history, importing your archive on the desktop app is faster, and the file stays on your computer.
