Mass delete your Perplexity threads
Your Perplexity history is full of questions you'd never say out loud: health worries, money problems, work drama, half-formed ideas. AI tools keep all of it by default; Redact is the off switch. Clear your threads in bulk, filter by date, keyword, title, or content type, preview exactly what matches, then delete. Keep a local archive first, and schedule recurring cleanups so old threads never pile back up.

Perplexity Deletion Features
Mass delete Perplexity threads
Delete your Perplexity threads in bulk rather than removing them one at a time. Redact lists every thread in your account, your questions and Perplexity's answers together, so you can select what to remove and clear it in a single run.
Filter by search query, title, or thread content
Narrow deletion with text filters: match a search query, target threads whose title contains a phrase, or find threads whose content contains specific words. Combine them to delete exactly the threads you mean to.
Filter by text
Narrow exactly which threads are in scope

Target threads by content type
Delete by what a thread holds. Filter for threads that include uploaded files, images, or a web search so you can clear data-heavy threads while leaving plain question-and-answer threads in place. The same content types can be preserved instead of deleted.

Only delete threads with the selected content types
Delete Perplexity threads by date range
Set a start date, an end date, or both to delete only the threads from a specific window. Leave the range open to clear your full history. Relative ranges like 'older than a year' stay accurate on every scheduled run.
Date Range
These dates are set to specific dates. The Scheduler feature will delete only between these dates.
Preview, review, delete, or schedule
Easy mode covers the common case: pick your threads and a date range and run it. Switch to Advanced for finer control with the full filter and preservation set. Either way, Preview shows every match first, Deletion wipes the queue in one pass, Review and Delete approves matches as you go, and Schedule repeats the cleanup on a cadence.

Keep a local archive of your threads
Turn on the archiver and every thread in the batch is saved to a local archive on your device before it's removed. Purging your cloud footprint doesn't mean surrendering the research you want to look back on, and you can open the archive from Redact any time.
Frequently asked questions
