How to remove yourself from SearchPeopleFree

A real email inbox you can check today. SearchPeopleFree sends the verification link from support@searchpeoplefree.com. The opt-out doesn't advance until you click it, and the link expires in 24 hours per the email's own warning.

Your full name + DOB + address + phone + email. The first form just needs your name + email, but the second form (after the email link) asks for First / Middle / Last name, Email, Phone Number, Date of Birth, Street Address, City, and State - have all of that ready before you start so you can power through.

An uninterrupted 10 minutes. The email link is single-use and time-limited. I'd plan to do both forms in one sitting rather than walking away mid-flow.

The verification email never arrived. Live walkthrough showed the email lands in inbox (not spam), but if your filter is aggressive it could be caught. Check spam after 5 minutes; if it's still not there after 30 minutes restart from step 1.

You waited and the 24-hour email link expired. The link is single-use and time-limited. Restart from step 1 to generate a new one.

Cloudflare Turnstile won't pass. Try a different browser, disable ad-blockers / privacy extensions for the session, and avoid VPN / Tor exit nodes - all three tend to bump Turnstile into harder challenges.

The detailed second form throws an error. Try a different browser, disable ad-blockers / privacy extensions, clear cookies. If the error persists, call the BBB-listed phone (800) 958-6869 to file the opt-out by phone instead.

Record still appears after 72 hours. Clear cache first - the confirmation page specifically warns about stale cached copies. If it's still there after a fresh search, re-run the entire flow once. If still up after another week, call (800) 958-6869.

Record reappears days later despite a successful opt-out. This is the Enformion-data-supply pattern - the upstream broker-data API keeps supplying SearchPeopleFree, and the opt-out flag doesn't always persist across data refreshes. Re-submit if needed. The long-term fix is to suppress upstream sources (voter, property records) so the Enformion-side data layer has less material to re-index.

We recommend re-checking quarterly. SearchPeopleFree's data comes from Enformion's continuously-refreshed API, so a new listing can appear within weeks or months of a successful opt-out as Enformion re-supplies the consumer-facing site.

Also opt out of Whitepages. Whitepages Pro is another major Enformion-licensed product; cleaning up Whitepages reduces the upstream re-supply signal that re-populates SearchPeopleFree.

Watch for the other Burgess broker entities. Julian Burgess is named on four other broker BBB filings in this directory: SmartBackgroundChecks, FastBackgroundCheck, FamilyTreeNow, and PeopleSearchNow. They each have their own opt-out databases - if you've confirmed Burgess as a pattern in your privacy cleanup, adding those four to the same quarterly re-check schedule makes sense.

Watch for multiple profiles. Address changes and name variants (middle initial, nickname, maiden name) tend to produce separate SearchPeopleFree records. I'd re-check by all the variants you've used, not just your current legal name.

Suppress upstream sources where possible. Voter registration, property assessor data, and published phone directories feed Enformion's data layer. Some states allow address confidentiality programs (often for victims of stalking or domestic violence) that suppress your record at the source - a much more durable fix than per-broker opt-outs.

I'd suggest a forwarding mailbox or PO Box for non-essential mail and a masked email forwarder for non-essential signups. New property records and new email-list signups are the biggest re-listing triggers across the people-search category.
