How to Delete All Your Skype Group Messages

How To Mass Delete Group Chat Messages in Skype

1. Download and Install Redact

Begin by downloading Redact from the official website: redact.dev. It’s compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. After installation, launch the application.

2. Connect Your Skype Account

Within Redact, select Skype from the list of supported platforms. You’ll be prompted to authorize Redact to access your Skype account. This connection is secure and can be revoked at any time through your Skype settings.

3. Select Conversations

Redact displays a list of your Skype conversations. You can:

Select Individual Conversations: Choose specific group chats for message deletion.

4. Set Your Filters

5. Run Your Deletion!

Once you’ve set up your deletion, you’re ready to start deleting! At the bottom of the form, you can pick from four options – Preview, Delete, Select-and-Delete, and Scheduled Deletion.

If you’re looking to wipe everything, we recommend running a Preview, making sure you’re happy with the results, then running a Deletion using the same settings.

For a more selective deletion, choose Select-and-Delete to review and batch-delete your old content efficiently.

If you plan to continue using Skype until its shutdown, you can set up a Scheduled deletion to ensure everything is wiped by the time the platform closes.
