One of the 100-plus suits Atlas Data Privacy Corp. filed as assignee of covered persons - judges, prosecutors, law enforcement - whose home addresses stayed online after takedown demands. National Data Analytics (publicdatacheck.com) and Scalable Commerce (kidslivesafe.com, quickpublicrecords.com) were sued together in Bergen County and removed the case jointly on March 25, 2024 with shared counsel; it moved to the Camden vicinage that April and was renumbered 1:24-cv-4160. The district court upheld Daniel's Law against constitutional challenge on November 26, 2024, in the consolidated ruling reported at 758 F. Supp. 3d 322 - written by Judge Harvey Bartle III, who presides over this docket too. A Womble Bond Dickinson client alert reports a renewed constitutional challenge denied on April 22, 2026, though that ruling came in a different defendant's case from the same wave, Atlas v. Sterling Data Co. Scalable Commerce and National Data Analytics filed an answer in October 2025 without separate dismissal briefing of their own. Both companies appealed together as Third Circuit No. 25-1564, and a related certified-question matter is docketed at the New Jersey Supreme Court as A-8-25.
