Removal runs through the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the site's footer. The operator has written down how far one request travels. A request on any of its ten sites applies across all of them for the sale of your record, while opting out of what each site collects from visitors has to be done separately on each website. The steps
Go to fastbackgroundcheck.com/optout and fill the form out. Match the details to what the listing says rather than to your current situation (an old address on the record is what the record is keyed to), and use an email address you can open straight away; a masked or secondary one is better than your primary.
They send an email to the address you entered - open it and click the link. Nothing progresses until you do, so check spam if it doesn't show, and give it time before assuming anything failed.
The link takes you to another form that looks nearly identical to the first one. Fill it out and submit it. When it goes through, you'll see an "Opt-Out Request Submitted Successfully" confirmation like the one below - that's the end of the flow.
The confirmation page's own wording: expect your information to be fully removed in 3 days or less, and if you spot an error in what you submitted, restart the process at fastbackgroundcheck.com/optout. When you go back later to verify, clear your browser cache and run a fresh search - the site warns that a cached page or a saved link can show you an old, stored version of your listing.
Ignore the "Remove My Personal Data From 300+ Other Sites Now" button at the bottom of the confirmation page. It's a third-party upsell, not part of this opt-out - your FastBackgroundCheck removal is already complete without it.
The family
The operator's own filing says the record-level opt-out travels across all ten sites, but that opting out of each site's own collection needs a separate request per site. Check FastPeopleSearch, PhoneBooks, USPhoneBook, CyberBackgroundChecks, SmartBackgroundChecks, SearchPeopleFree, PeopleSearchNow, AdvancedBackgroundChecks and USA People Search.
Confirm
The 2024 filing reports a one-day median response, so check within a couple of days rather than waiting a fortnight. Search your name again, then search your phone number and your street address separately. This site indexes all three, and clearing one view doesn't prove the others cleared.
Also check the A-to-Z people directory and the area-code phone directory for your entry. Those browsable indexes are a separate route to the same record, and they're the ones people forget to look at.
If it fails
Request denied. Around one in six was refused in 2024. Escalate by email to privacy@mtalley.zendesk.com, naming Mississippi Tornado Alley, LLC (the registrant, not the brand).
Listing back after a few weeks. These sites rebuild from public records. Re-submit; there's no limit on how often you can ask.
A relative's record still shows your address. Each person is listed separately, and a relative's entry can carry a shared address. They have to opt out for themselves.
The page won't load for you. The site sits behind a bot-protection layer that can block real visitors too. Try a different browser or network before concluding the form is broken.
Stay off
Ten sites on one filing means ten chances for a record to come back, and the operator's own numbers show the opt-out is a high-volume routine rather than a permanent state.
