Free lookups spread further than paywalled ones, which is what makes this one worth clearing. The operator is Spy Labs AdCo, LLC, a registered California data broker. Its opt-out is a multi-screen wizard, walked for real in August 2026, but the reCAPTCHA in front of it has been over its free quota since mid-August and now refuses every submission, including hand-solved ones. Until Spy Dialer fixes that, the route left is the phone number on its own privacy notice, which we haven't tested ourselves.

The company filed with California's data broker registry under the name Spy Labs AdCo, LLC, listing spydialer.com as its site and answering no to every one of the registry's sixteen category flags. That filing is what makes the state's DROP platform a usable route for Californians, since registered brokers have had to process deletion requests routed through it since August 2026.
The registration also fixes the two details the site's opt-out pages lean on. The privacy notice and the Do Not Sell page both offer a phone number, (866) 834-2579, alongside the web form, and the registry carries the same number. When the web form is refusing submissions, as it has been since mid-August, that number is the channel the company itself nominated.

All three web forms share one broken reCAPTCHA. The wizard, the privacy-rights form and the contact form load the same reCAPTCHA Enterprise key, and Google has flagged that key as over its free quota. Since August 13, 2026 none of them has accepted a submission. The phone number is the only other channel the company offers for opt-outs, and we haven't placed a removal call ourselves.

Is Spy Dialer a data broker?
Yes, and a registered one. Spy Labs AdCo, LLC filed with California's data broker registry for spydialer.com. The site publishes lookups connecting phone numbers, names, addresses, and emails about people who never signed up for it, free to any visitor. The free access is what earns it a place on a removal list - a paywall at least slows the casual searcher down.
How do I remove my information from Spy Dialer?
Right now, by phone. The opt-out wizard at spydialer.com/consumers/ has refused every submission since August 13, 2026, because the reCAPTCHA in front of it is over its free quota and Google verifies nothing for a site in that state. Call (866) 834-2579, the number Spy Dialer's own privacy notice gives for opt-out requests, and ask for your name, address, phone number and email to be blocked. We haven't made that call ourselves, so note the date and who you spoke to. California residents can also file through the state's DROP platform. Will the wizard start working again?
Only when Spy Dialer enables billing on its reCAPTCHA account or the quota resets. Nothing a visitor does changes that - a correctly solved challenge is refused the same way as a bot's. If you'd rather wait, check the state screen for the small grey "exceeding reCAPTCHA Enterprise free quota" line under the checkbox; while it's there, don't bother.
Why does the wizard ask my state first?
Nothing we could see hinges on it. The site's own copy says it allows consumers in all states to opt out, and on our August walkthrough the flow ran identically regardless of the pick - per Spy Dialer, matching info is removed even where no state privacy law compels it. Treat the dropdown as bookkeeping, not a gate.

September 10, 2026 · Opt-out rechecked live. The wizard's state screen shows Google's "This site is exceeding reCAPTCHA Enterprise free quota" notice and answers CONTINUE with "Captcha Failed!! Please try again!!", the same refusal Redact's app has met on every attempt since August 13. The privacy-rights form and the contact form load the same reCAPTCHA key and fail the same way. Operator, address, phone and email read from the California data broker registry and the site's own footer, privacy notice and Do Not Sell page. The wizard itself was confirmed by a real walkthrough on August 12, 2026, when it still accepted submissions.
