How to remove your info from Redi-Data

One page, eight fields and no account, with an invisible reCAPTCHA you won't be asked to solve. The one thing to watch is the reason selector, which arrives with Opt-out already chosen, the weakest of the five options. Fill the form, then change it before you submit.

The one catch

Change the pre-selected option

The form ends with Select a reason for opting out and five radio buttons. The first, Opt-out, is already selected when the page loads. Fill in your details, press submit without looking down, and that's the request you've filed.

The five mean different things in practice.

Opt-out, the default, is the vaguest. It signals you want out without specifying of what.
Do not sell or share targets the onward selling of your record while leaving it in place.
Delete request asks for the record itself to go. For most people this is the right choice.
Correct inaccurate data fixes a wrong entry rather than removing one, which matters if a wrong specialty or a lapsed practice address is generating misdirected post.
Data access and information request asks what they hold before you decide.

If your goal is to stop being in the database, pick Delete request. If you want to see the record first, pick the access option and file a second request afterwards.

The correction option is more useful here than it looks. Clinician records follow licences and practice addresses, both of which change, and a stale entry can keep sending mail to an employer you left years ago.

Open the request form

Go to redidata.com/opt-out-form. The heading is Redi-Data Opt-Out / Release Request, and it says one of their data experts will process the request, so a person handles this rather than an automated pipeline.

Use your professional identity, not your household one

First Name, Last Name, Email and State are required. Phone, Address, City and Zip Code are optional but worth completing, because more identifiers give the person searching the database more ways to find your record. The free-text Notes box at the end is where to name the licence, specialty or practice address your record is likely filed under.

Enter these as they appear professionally. The records are built from licence and practice details, so your work email, practice address and the name your licence is issued under are what will match, and a personal address is unlikely to appear at all. If you've moved practice, give the previous state and address too, since the record may still carry the old one.

Select the right reason, then submit

Move down to the reason row and change Opt-out to Delete request.

Submit. There's no verification email in this flow. The page runs reCAPTCHA v3, which scores you silently rather than showing a challenge, so filling it in by hand you should see nothing at all. Take a screenshot of the completed form before sending, because with a human processing the request a record of exactly what you asked for and when is worth the extra few seconds.

Expect this one to take a while

Redi-Data does grant these. It told California it received 617,950 requests to delete in 2024 and complied in full with every one, refusing none. Its privacy statement, updated June 22, 2026, publishes a larger table for the previous calendar year, with 1,365,172 delete and opt-out-of-database requests and 26,892 opt-out-of-sale requests, all fulfilled.

Speed is another matter. The statement promises a response within 45 calendar days for a deletion and 15 business days for an opt-out, and the filed 2024 response times were a 5-day mean and an 11-day median, the reverse of the usual relationship and odd enough that it may be a filing error. Read it as a fortnight or so rather than the same-day turnarounds elsewhere in this directory, which fits a person working through a queue.

There's nothing to verify by searching, since nothing about you was published. The signal is a drop over the following months in professional marketing reaching your practice address. If a request is refused, the privacy statement says to appeal through the same form with the reason in the Notes box.

This addresses one supplier. Licensing registries stay public and other list companies compile them too, so promotional mail aimed at clinicians will thin rather than stop. If a lapsed practice address is the real irritation, the correct inaccurate data option may do more for you than deletion.
