PrivateRecords takes removal requests one record at a time, for free and without an account. Find your record, press REMOVE on it, give an email, your name, address and phone number, then open the link it sends, since nothing happens until that link is used. Budget about five minutes at the keyboard and a wait of up to two days for the email.

The steps
Open privaterecords.net/api/helper/optOutLight/search, the page all three privacy links in the site's footer lead to. Enter your first name, last name and city, and pick your state from the dropdown, which starts on Alabama. The ZIP, phone and email boxes are optional and only narrow the match. Press SEARCH, and expect to answer more than one are-you-human check before the results appear.
The results come back under Select the person you would like to remove, one card per match with its own REMOVE button. Read the age and the places listed on each card before you choose. A common name returns a stack of near-identical cards, and removing a stranger's record leaves yours where it was.
The next page asks for your email, full name, address and phone number, and SUBMIT stays grey until all four are in. The page says PrivateRecords checks that you're the person in its records and then emails you, so give an address you can open today.
The site gives itself 48 hours to send the email, and the request only goes ahead when you click the link inside it. Its FAQ says most removals take effect within about 24 hours of that. Look in spam and promotions folders too.
Listed more than once? The online form takes one record per request. For a second record, or one under another name, the site's FAQ says to email support@privaterecords.net.
Confirm
A day or two after clicking the link, search for yourself on privaterecords.net in a private window, so your browser can't show you an old copy. Keep the email as your receipt. If the record's still up after a week, write to support@privaterecords.net with the date you submitted, or call (888) 270-9304, the number on Private Records LLC's California filing.
If it fails
Check after check before any results. That's how this platform's form works, with its human checks arriving one after another. Keep answering until the list loads.
Your record isn't in the list. Search again with only the required boxes filled, and try each city you've lived in, since the record sits under whatever details it holds.
No email after two days. Look in every folder, then send the form again or email support@privaterecords.net.
California residents. Private Records LLC is on the state's data broker registry, and its privacy policy says it processes deletion requests sent through the Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, California's one request for every registered broker.
From October 15, 2026. The privacy policy says the footer will then carry two links. Your Privacy Choices takes effect at once with no checks, but it only stops sales and sharing and doesn't remove a listing. Remove My Information is the one that takes a record down, still by emailed link. The policy also says either request can be made by phone.
Stay off
Removing yourself here leaves the other three sites on Private Records LLC's filing untouched. PeopleSearch123 and Person Searchers run their own copies of this form, and Background Checkers only takes a written request. All of them drew on the database that leaked in 2024, so it's worth checking each, and searching your name again every few months, since people-search listings come back as fresh records arrive.
