How to remove your information from Glad I Know

  • Redact removes listings on paid plans

The Glad I Know opt-out form searches listings in 19 states. Provide an email address if you want confirmation from privacy@gladiknow.com, and keep the email as a record of your request.

Read the Glad I Know profile for the state restriction.

Supported states

Check the state on your listing

The form offers California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. A listing outside the 19 states cannot be searched through the form. Florida appears in the site's privacy rights notice but is missing from the dropdown.

Removal steps

Request removal of your listing

01

Search for your listing

First, open gladiknow.com/opt-out and enter your first name, last name, city, and state. Use the city and state on the listing, including an old address if needed. Select Search to find matching records.

02

Select the matching record

Second, compare the names and addresses in the results with your listing. Select Remove on the matching record. If you have several listings, request removal for each record separately.

03

Submit your request

Third, enter an email address if you want a confirmation email. Email is optional. Complete the reCAPTCHA check and select Submit to send the removal request.

Confirmation

Check your confirmation and listing

If you provided an email address, look for a confirmation email from privacy@gladiknow.com and keep a copy. The confirmation records your request, but you should also search again to check whether the listing has been removed. The site does not promise an exact completion time.

Later checks

Check for listings again

Search again periodically using the names and addresses on your listings. If another matching record appears, submit a separate request for it.

Take yourself off data broker sites

Redact scans data broker sites from your device. The free scan shows which of your details are exposed but hides which broker lists you; Premium and Ultimate show where each listing is. They also submit the Glad I Know removal for you, re-scan about every 15 days and file again if your listing comes back.
