Removal guide · Alesco Data

How to remove your info from Alesco Data

The form takes a minute and requires your name, full address, email and phone. The catch is what it is, a sale opt-out rather than a deletion. Submit it, then email Alesco separately if you want the record itself gone, because the form page doesn't offer that and the privacy policy is where the deletion route lives.

Submitting the opt-out

01

Open the page and read what it offers

Go to alescodata.com/opt-out-request, headed Do Not Sell My Personal Information.

The copy above the fields sets the scope. Residents of certain states may opt out of the sale or sharing of their information, and Alesco needs a name plus additional details to verify and remove it. It then offers privacy@alescodata.com as another way to opt out of the sale.

There's no request-type selector, no deletion option and no access option. This page does one thing.

Alesco Data's Do Not Sell My Personal Information page, with explanatory copy, an email alternative, and required Name fields for first and last plus an Address block.
Everything on this form is required bar the second address line, so name, address, email and phone all have to be filled in.
02

Fill in every required identifier

First and Last name, Address Line 1, City, State (a dropdown), Zip Code, Email and Phone are all required. So is the Confirm Request tick box at the end, which records that you're asking to be removed from databases used for resale or licensing and authorises Alesco to contact you to confirm your identity, so expect a follow-up. Only Address Line 2 is optional. An invisible reCAPTCHA runs on submit.

Give the details most likely to be attached to the record rather than your most current ones. Use the name as it would appear on marketing mail, including a middle initial or an older spelling, and the address that mail actually arrives at.

If you've moved recently, file twice, once for the current address and once for the previous one. Email and phone give Alesco more ways to match, but an address-keyed marketing record can still sit separately under the old address.

03

Submit, then send the deletion email

Submit the form. That's the sale opt-out done.

Now write to info@alescodata.com, which the privacy policy names for deletion requests, and ask in plain terms for deletion of your personal information rather than a suppression of its sale. Copy privacy@alescodata.com, include the same name and address you submitted so the two requests match the same record, and keep a copy. The policy also gives (800) 701-6531 for the same request by phone, and (877) 652-5002 for a CCPA compliance specialist.

This second step is the one that gets you what most people came for, and nothing on the form page tells you to take it.

Expectations

Be prepared to chase this one

Alesco is quick, with a two-day mean and one-day median on its 2024 filing. Speed isn't the issue.

Thoroughness is. Of the 326,818 deletion requests it reported for 2024, 255,015 were complied with in full, 63,779 were complied with only in part and 8,024 were denied. Around one in five wasn't fully honoured, and only two of the 41 registrants reporting 100,000 or more deletion requests did worse. The same filing counts 580,584 requests to opt out of sale, the thing this form does, with 12,644 denied. A newer table on Alesco's own privacy policy, which it labels as its registration effective July 1, 2026, puts sale opt-outs at 30,219 received and 12,416 denied. Treat a partial outcome as a realistic possibility rather than an edge case.

Practically, that means keeping evidence. Note the date, screenshot the submitted form, and keep the deletion email in your sent folder. If marketing mail continues months later, you have something concrete to point at when you write again, and the filed contact for the company is legal@alescodata.com.

One thing you can't do is verify by searching, since none of this is published. The only signals available are Alesco's own responses and, eventually, the post.

September 10, 2026 · Walked firsthand on August 18, 2026, before a word was drafted. The page title, the full required field set (name, address, email, phone and the confirmation tick box), the absence of any deletion or access option and the offered email alternative were read from the served HTML of the live page that day, and the walk corrected an earlier draft that claimed the form had no email field. Rechecked against the served HTML on September 10, 2026, which found the form unchanged, an invisible reCAPTCHA on submit, and a deletion route by email and phone in the privacy policy that the earlier draft said didn't exist; the guide now sends deletion requests to the address the policy names. The compliance figures are from The Alesco Group LLC's row on the California data broker registry, confirmed the same day, and the newer table is Alesco's own as posted in its policy.
