Alesco Data
An audience-data company run by The Alesco Group LLC of Fort Myers and branded on its own site as a Stirista solution. Its California filing answers Yes to selling consumer data to the federal government, other state governments and law enforcement, which only 28 of the registry's 603 filers do. Its deletion record is worse than almost any large filer's. Of 326,818 requests in 2024, one in five was refused or granted only in part.

Each broker is scored 1 to 4 across the six dimensions above; higher means more exposure, and the overall gauge is their average.
What each dimension means
- Data published: how much and how sensitive the personal data they put out.
- Re-listing frequency: how quickly you reappear after opting out.
- Complaint record: the volume and pattern of complaints across BBB, Trustpilot, and Sitejabber. No listing, or a listing with no reviews, counts against the broker.
- Opt-out friction: how hard the removal process is to complete.
- Operator opacity: how hidden the operating company and its principals are.
- Prior data incidents: history of breaches or leaks of the data they hold.

Alesco's pitch is breadth, proprietary and partner data brought together so buyers can build audiences from one supplier. Its company page says it's been at it for over 20 years, and BBB records the business as started in March 2004.
The first unusual answer is government. Asked whether it sold or shared consumer data in the past year with the federal government, with other state governments and with law enforcement, Alesco answered Yes to all three. On the registry as read on September 10, 2026, only 28 of 603 filers do, and none of the other marketing-data brokers profiled alongside it. The filing doesn't say which agencies, what data or for what purpose.
The second is how it treats people who ask to be removed. For 2024 it reported 326,818 deletion requests, of which 255,015 were complied with in full, 63,779 were complied with only in part and 8,024 were denied. Of the 41 registrants reporting 100,000 or more deletion requests, only two honoured a smaller share in full.
The naming compounds it. Alesco files under three DBAs and presents publicly as part of Stirista, so someone whose data arrived through one of those brands has no obvious way to know this is where to ask.
Yes to federal, yes to state, yes to law enforcement. Buying commercial audience data is one way for an agency to obtain what it might otherwise need legal process to get. Alesco discloses the fact and nothing further, so what's established is that it happened, not what was sold or to whom.
Data Published
Data types
Sold to buyers as audience segments, not published anywhere searchable. You'll never find yourself here, which is why the opt-out has to be taken on trust.
Names matched to postal addresses, the basis of its audience files
Proprietary data it compiles itself, alongside partner data licensed in
Audience segments and attributes used for targeting
Analytics products built on the combined file
Records held under its Response Solutions and Statlistics trading names
The form wants name, full postal address, email and phone before it'll act. That's a broad set of identifiers for a request that only stops selling your data, and a request filed under a current address can still miss an older record held under a previous one.

The only self-service page is a sale opt-out, and the email it offers is another route to the same thing. Deletion lives in the privacy policy instead, which says you can ask by emailing info@alescodata.com or calling (800) 701-6531, and names (877) 652-5002 for a CCPA compliance specialist. Alesco reported over 326,000 deletion requests for 2024, so they're plainly processed. You just have to ask for one in those words.
Reputation
Trust signals
Consumer review sites have next to nothing on it, which is normal for a business-to-business supplier, and BBB grades it A+. What Alesco does have is a filed compliance record, and it isn't flattering.
Alesco's own privacy policy posts a newer table, labelled as its California registration effective July 1, 2026, and the picture it paints is different. It shows 1,282,710 deletion requests with 1,271,630 honoured in full and 11,080 denied, none in part. It also shows 30,219 requests to opt out of sale, the thing its form does, of which 12,416 were denied. Those are Alesco's figures as read on September 10, 2026; the registry's own row still carries the 2024 numbers above.
FAQ
Q & A
Does the opt-out form delete my data?
No. The page is titled Do Not Sell My Personal Information and that's what it does. It stops the sale or sharing of your record. Nothing on it offers deletion, and the email it suggests is described as another way to exercise the same opt-out. For deletion, follow the privacy policy and email info@alescodata.com or call (800) 701-6531.
Why did so many requests only get partly honoured?
Alesco doesn't say. Its 2024 filing shows that of 326,818 requests, 63,779 were complied with only in part and 8,024 were denied outright. One plausible reading is scope, since a sale opt-out is a narrower instruction than deletion and a company can honour it while keeping the record. Whatever the cause, it's far outside the pattern of the other large filers.
I've never heard of Alesco. Why would it have my data?
You may have met it under a different name. It files under three, Alesco Data LLC, Response Solutions LLC and Statlistics Resource Group LLC, and its website presents it as part of Stirista. It also buys partner data, so records reach it from suppliers you dealt with rather than from you.
Is it true it sells to law enforcement?
Its own filing answers Yes to selling or sharing consumer data with law enforcement in the past year, and Yes to the federal government and to other state governments. It gives no further detail. Only 28 of the 603 filers on the September 2026 registry answer yes to all three.
Which address should I give?
The form requires name, full address, email and phone, so give the details most likely to be on the record rather than your newest ones. If you've moved in the past few years, submit again for the previous address, because an old record won't be reached by a new one.
Take yourself off data broker sites
Redact scans 120+ data broker sites from your device, finds where your details are listed, and submits the removal requests for you. If a broker relists you, it files again.
September 10, 2026 · Walked firsthand on August 18, 2026, before a word was drafted. The page title, the required fields, the absence of any deletion or access option and the email alternative come from that screen; the walk corrected an earlier draft that claimed the form had no email field (email and phone are both required). Rechecked against the served HTML on September 10, 2026, which confirmed the form unchanged and added two corrections. The privacy policy publishes a deletion route by email and phone, which the earlier draft said didn't exist, and the phone number an earlier draft listed appears nowhere on the site or the filing. Trading names, government-sharing answers and the 2024 request breakdown were confirmed the same day against The Alesco Group LLC's row on the California data broker registry.
