What a Discord ID can tell you
Every Discord ID has the date it was made built into it. Here's what else is in there.

Questions about Discord IDs
A snowflake is a Discord ID, a number 17 to 19 digits long. Every user, server, channel, message and role has an ID. The ID contains its creation date and time, so you can read the date without contacting Discord.
It reads the date straight out of the number, in your browser. Nothing is sent to Discord or to Redact. For the detail, the ID is shifted right by 22 bits, and Discord's starting point, the first moment of 2015, is added back to give the real date, accurate to the thousandth of a second.
Turn on Developer Mode in Discord, under User Settings, then Advanced. After that, right-click a user, server, channel or message and choose the option that starts with "Copy", such as "Copy User ID" or "Copy Message ID". On a phone, press and hold instead of right-clicking. You can also paste a whole link from "Copy Message Link", which shows the server, channel and message dates together.
A message link holds three IDs: the server, the channel and the message. Paste the whole link and the decoder shows when each one was made, so you can see when the server and channel were set up as well as when the message was sent. A link to a DM has no server ID.
Copy the Discord timestamp, like <t:1462015105:F>, and paste it into a message. Discord shows it as a date and time in each reader's own time zone.
Yes. The date comes from the ID itself, so the thing it belonged to doesn't have to exist anymore.
The last part of an ID is a counter, which goes up for each ID made within one process. The worker, process and counter fields together tell apart IDs made in the same millisecond.
Not with this tool. It reads what's in the number and never contacts Discord, so it can't tell you whose ID it is.
