What You Can Delete on Telegram with Redact.dev
Redact.dev allows you to delete:
- Direct Messages (DMs)
- Group Chats
- Channel messages
- Even other people’s comments (in your channels or chats)
You can select each of these individually, or delete everything across your account at once. Plus, you can search for specific people you’ve DMed to clean up those conversations.
Filter by Message Type
Target your deletions precisely by selecting specific message types, including:
- Images
- Videos
- Embeds
- Sounds
- Files
This means you can mass delete your Telegram messages with images, videos, embeds, sounds, or files. You can also apply all of these content type filters as preservation settings, deleting all Telegram messages except ones containing the specified types of content.

Leave everything unchecked to include all types, or tick specific boxes to exclude text-only messages.
Filter by Date Range
Easily zero in on a timeframe with our built-in calendar tool. You can:
- Set a Start Date to delete messages sent after that point
- Set an End Date to remove messages sent before it

Click the month label to pick a month, or click the title again to choose the year. The Reset button clears all date fields.
Relative dates allows you set up rules like “delete everything more than a month old” while absolute dates enable specific start and end dates for your bulk deletion of telegram messages.
Preview and Confirm
Before deleting, we recommend you use Redact.dev’s Preview Mode to review which likes will be removed.
