Firefox is one of the most notable and widely used web browsers available. Even though Firefox markets itself as a more privacy-friendly browser, it is also tremendously easy to use. With that in mind, it is no surprise that more than 150 million people across the globe do their work, schooling, and leisurely activities on it. However, there is one, fundamental feature that is often overlooked despite its extreme versatility: extensions.

Extensions can greatly enhance an individual’s experience on a browser, so with that in mind, here are a list of some of the most useful ones available:

Bitwarden, in my humble opinion, is one of the best password managers available as of right now. With this extension, you can generate and save randomized, hard-to-guess passwords with upwards of 50 characters to your own, personal “vault” that you can access at any time with a master password. If you’re feeling really cheeky, you can even use it as a desktop app or your smartphone!

Want to know that best part? It’s entirely free to use!

UBlock Origin

We can’t talk about the best extensions on a browser without mentioning at least one adblocker. In fact, they are so popular that we even wrote an entirely separate article about them! That being said, the go-to adblocker on the market would be UBlock Origin.

Championing over 10-million downloads and a respectable 4.7-star rating, it goes without question that it’s a fan favorite. UBlock Origin is easy to run on your computer and is customizable for a more advanced user’s specific needs.

Simple Translate

Perhaps you’re in a language class and you’re in a bind on your homework, or perhaps you’re trying to order an anime collectible from some Japanese website- either way, Simple Translate’s got you covered! The days of copy/pasting text onto a new tab in Google Translate are long gone.

With Simple Translate, you’ll be able to get your Spanish homework or buy that cute anime figurine in moments since you can simply highlight any given text and translate it into the language of your choice. If you’re unsure if it is as accurate as Google Translate, do not worry, since it is also supported by Google Translate’s API!
